turtle crush

it’s hatching time for the endangered leatherback turtles at the grande riviere beach in Trinidad, and a tragedy happened.
the government work crews were redirecting the grand riviere, but several of them were digging up unnecessarily large area of the nesting beach. 20,000 of leatherback turtle eggs and hatchlings were crushed by bulldozers! only hundreds of the hatchlings were saved after dredged up by this heavy, evil machinery.
because of this crazy, terrible human mistake, these poor little things never get the chance to reach the ocean….
