brazil’s deforestation

Brazil’s rainforest is disappearing faster than we have thought. the expansion of farms, roads and towns are replacing the homes for the wildlife. almost 90% of the forest is gone now! the used to be 18 large mammal species living in this forest, and there are only 4 left! mammals like white-lipped peccaries, tapirs, wooly spider monkeys and giant anteaters are essentially extinct in this region!
