australian native marsupials

pocket animal

australian native marsupials are in dramatic decline in the past years and it might be caused by the feral cats. besides habitat lost and deforestation, most of the declining marsupials like bandicoot and quolls are all feral cats’ preferred preys. feral cats were introduced to australia by the europeans in the late 1700s; it is still unexplained why the cats has been there for so long but the declines were more recent.
