海象雖大卻很易受驚，所以很少會大規模聚集。但海冰的消失，令3.5萬頭海象要被迫聚集到阿拉斯加的陸地上。為避免海象們驚逃造成死傷，當地立刻管制飛機及直升機遠離那區，並呼籲民眾不要靠近。
walruses are easily frightened animals, so they seldom gather in large group. however, the lost of sea ice has forced 35000 of them to gather on a beach of Alaska. to avoid frightening the walruses and end up stampeding on each other, organizations are working to ensure no one would disturb these walruses.
