the rainy season in africa’s namibia region last only a few weeks, and the rest of the time it rarely rain. luckily, elephants are able to sense rainstorms from 150 miles away, and would head to that region for water in order to survive in this arid environment. with this new discovery, conservationists are hoping to predict where the elephant would go by using weather data, and get a better chance of protecting them from illegal hunting.
