disrupt turtle nestingPosted: 29/09/2015
at the Costa Rican beaches, around 5000 olive ridley sea turtles came ashore to lay eggs, however, the ostional wildlife refuge were packed with tourists! small amount of polices and park rangers were not about to control the crowd. some selfish tourists went over to the take photo with the turtles; they even touch and disrupt the turtles. many sensitive turtles decided to return to the sea without laying their eggs. there are only 7 species of sea turtle left in the world, and their population is still declining.
