training northern quolls

northern quolls are small native mammals in Australia that are threatened by invasive cane toads and feral cats. cane toads are deadly toxic to most animals; a quoll would die if it touch or eat the cane toad. scientists are training quolls to avoid these cane toads and cats, and hope this could increase the survival chance for them. a test in 2010 released a group of trained quolls back to the wild; only small amount of them survived, but their found out the skill was passed down to the next generation.
