澳洲昆士蘭的蛙受農藥威脅，數量大減。當地唯一的蛙醫院自17年前起醫治了過不同問題的蛙，有的細菌感染、有的缺眼、有的多了一條腿，亦有患了癌症的。相信當中大部分是因農藥裡的化學物所致。但政府部門因缺乏足夠數據，所以並未有管制使用農藥。
pesticide is threatening frogs in australia along the Queensland coast. since 17 years ago, the only frog hospital in the area has treated frogs with missing eyes, extra limbs and cancer, some are suffering from bacterial infection. it’s believed that insecticides are behind these problems. however, because of the lack of data, there is still no control over the use of pesticide.
