UK researchers discovered that mosquito larva eats micro-plastic, and these plastic would stay in its body even after it reaches adulthood. these micro-plastic would then be transferred to predators that feed on mosquitos, like birds, bats, spiders, etc., and into the other level of the food chain. Micro-plastic is used in many daily cleaning and scrub products, and these plastic could not be filtered by the sewage treatment system, so they will enter the threatened the entire ecosystem.
